Hi!
I’m Kata Balogh, Hungarian interdisciplinary artist and cultural manager, based in Barcelona.
Right now I’m working on street performance which combines contemporary dance, site specific performance and mobile technologies and is moving around the issue of the social, spatial, sensory and bodily consequences of the excessive use of smartphones in our everyday life.
If I have to think of the words inspiration and public space, I can’t think of anything else but life of and in the street/specific space itself. I can spend hours and hours just sitting on a terrace, or switching on the observer mode while commuting and observe people, the rythims of a place, the sounds of it… Right now I can’t remember any specific project that inspired me, but I will share some whith you when the moment comes.
