Intervention refers to artistic actions that focus more on the context than on the artistic object itself. The goal is to draw attention to the geographical, sociological or political foundations of a place in order to have a direct impact. These interventions in public space often aim to rediscover locations and raise questions about their use. They help “activate” these spaces, raise awareness or help citizens take ownership of them.
