    Intuizioni verticali
A vertical dancing show performed by Eventi Verticali on different site specific faces and vertical spaces around the globe.

    DISCIPLINE dance, circus, acrobatics, theatre
THEME architecture, history, reflection around space
LOCATION the facade of selected high vertical spaces (buildings, historic sites, natural sites)
AUDIENCE the audience has the role of a spectator. However, its position is being revisited as it is bellow the action. As well, it is within, in a site specific place, in the public space that they know for different usage.

    Future library
A forest growing in the north of Oslo, planted by artist Katie Paterson. The trees now growing will be used in a hundred years to publish a series of one hundred books. Meanwhile, one author a year is writing a novel that will be stocked in the Silent Room. A room designed especially for the purpose of keeping safe the unread novels that are waiting for the century.

    DISCIPLINE literature, sylviculture
THEME ecology, self-subsistence, reflection around time, design
LOCATION a space within the forest north of Oslo – the Silent Room on the top floor of the New Deichmanske Bibliotek, Oslo – an online platform introducing the project and the yearly authors taking part in it.
AUDIENCE the audience can enter the forest that is at the same time part of the creative process and the process itself. It encompasses the passing time and will be in a hundred years cut down to produce the books.
the audience can visit the Silent Room. They see the names of the authors and their work but not the content of the books. The room is designed with pine wood of the forest itself. It brings them back to this place and at the same time lives a feeling of contemplation as the art work can not be now consumed.

As a personal experience, dance has been a way to deconstruct and later on re-shape and bring confidence to aspects of my personality. The way I understand Jürgen Habermas definition of a public space, I would then identify one to be the dance-floor. To me it is stage of the most intimate expression and confrontation with other’s as we can all chose to react, interact and express our own narratives in this shared space.

Community gardens. I consider one’s labour in the most animal sense (a cyclic activity fulfilling a physiological need) to be an intimate and concerning all “animal laborans”. A space shared between people in which one can operate this activity and exchange and collaborate with others on it, creating consequently a community, is to me defined a public space.
