In this video, Gabriella Cserháti, artistic director of GK Collective, presents the foundations of her relationship with spectators, in opposition to the idea of turning her creations into a “consumable” cultural product. By cultivating the quality of relationships and presence, while turning away from relationships of domination, GK Collective offers shows on a micro level, down to a single spectator. Projects evolve from hidden theatre to infiltrated theatre over a long period of time in a given area. As an example, she mentions the “Végétale Vallée” project, a 132-day show that uses fiction as an everyday tool for encountering and questioning reality.
