Two Events that question the limit of the public space?
How can we turn a private space in public ?

Event 1 : Threaded @ Bethanien kunstquartier, Berlin / Oct. 2017
” A 3 hour epic site-specific looping performance with original music, poetry, installation and audience interaction.
This piece opens global topics through the point of view of a working girl. Her dreams process her unbearable reality, turning it into a colourful but terrible imaginary world.
The piece is a 45 minute loop starting again and again, without break, in four different connected rooms. Breaking the linearity in the space and the time, this performance is an invitation for the audience to experiment with their own journey. Each one can enter and exit the spaces at will – free to interact and stay as long or short as they wish.”

Event 2: A TREAT – Flutgraben Performances #2

” This is the second of four events this year, located at Kunstfabrik am Flutgraben Berlin and dedicated to the growth of artistic works before and after their release. It challenges the ways art works are presented by bringing them closer to how they are being produced and constantly transformed. This year there will be ten artists sharing insights of their artistic processes in a continuous conversation during the time period of one year. This conversation is a space of support and contributes to the development of new individual works and formats as well as collaborations between the ten artists.”

Event 1: For that In Situ creation the doors of the space are open for the night and the audience is free. Free of charges, free of movement in space, free of interactive participation. There where very few invitations, the audience where passerby people walking on nearby… Does that open door turn a private creative space in public for a time?
Event 2 : The invitation is send by email, where you fulfill a form to announce that you will come and how you will participate at the event’s organization: this is a collective participation by the audience to make the bar, the sound, the light , to receive the audience, to open and close doors … : does it turn a private space in public when run on participative collective form?
